Community Building

As part of the Cross-Generation purpose to “restore and develop strong connected families,” we have a big hairy audacious goal to build communities in which it is normal and natural for children and families to be connected. For this reason, we engage in numerous activities that promote connection between young and old.

Worship & Service Gatherings
We have begun monthly gatherings to worship together, share stories of God’s faithfulness in our lives, and present an invitation to serve immediate needs in our community.

Connection Oriented Hospitality

We promote and practice intergenerational hospitality. We believe more than any other method, this is the way the young learn from the older – in the context of real life gathering, sharing food and conversation.

Giving Opportunities

We are privileged participants in the redistribution of wealth in our community from those who are financially and materially blessed to those in need. We have a special benevolence fund and frequently make known needs as they arise in the context of our work to share God’s love in practical ways with our community’s struggling families.

Civic Action
Those who are passionate about family connection often flock together with other like-minded families. This is important, but it must not stop there. So our staff become involved in various community action teams, committees, and clubs in order to have influence in the broader community.

Small Groups
